He scored a team-high 24 points in a 62-60 win over Elsinore on Saturday night in the Nighthawk Classic championship.

He collected four pins at the Mira Mesa tournament, where Chaparral finished first. He earned all-tournament honors at 160 pounds.

Vista Murrieta | Football

The Broncos' junior caught a 6-yard touchdown pass and rushed for a 16-yard score as Vista Murrieta beat Corona Centennial, 35-28, on Friday night in the CIF Southern Section Inland Division title game.

Temecula Valley | Girls soccer

She scored two goals and assisted on another in a 5-0 nonleague win over Elsinore. She also scored in a 5-1 win over Valley View.

Brandy Howard

Paloma Valley | Girls basketball

She scored a game-high 20 points in a 63-38 nonleague win over Hemet. She also hit six 3-pointers in the win.

Iman Lanthum

Temecula Valley | Girls basketball

She scored a game-high 32 points to lead the Golden Bears (5-4) to a fifth-place showing Friday at the Santa Ana Mater Dei tournament.

Darryl Morris

Linfield Christian | Boys basketball

He scored 15 points in the semifinals and 22 points in the championship as the Lions (7-0) won the Tri-City Classic. Linfield topped Calvin Christian, 46-37, and Tri-City Christian, 71-51, respectively, in those wins.

Heritage | Football

The Patriots junior rushed for 106 yards and a score on 25 carries in the CIF Southern Section Eastern Division championship Saturday night. Heritage, however, lost, 24-17, to Fontana Summit.

Chaparral | Girls basketball

She scored a game-high 23 points and collected nine rebounds in a 54-41 nonleague win over Redlands East Valley. The Pumas are 5-0 on the season.

Bridget Poland

Elsinore | Girls water polo

She scored seven goals to lift the Tigers to a 15-12 win over Murrieta Mesa in nonleague action. Poland also had an assist in the win.

Aaron Roedl

Great Oak | Boys basketball

He scored a team-high 23 points to lift the Wolfpack (6-3) to the Riverside Kiwanis tournament finals. There, Great Oak fell to Riverside Poly despite another 10 points from Roedl.

Reid Shackelford

Murrieta Valley | Boys basketball

He sank three 3-pointers in a 17-point game that helped Murrieta Valley clinch another Nighthawk Classic title. The Nighthawks defeated Elsinore, 62-60, in Saturday's championship.

Great Oak | Girls soccer

She scored four goals and assisted on two more as the Wolfpack dropped Lakeside, 11-3, in nonleague action.

She scored a game-high 19 points in a nonleague, 63-33 win over Paloma Valley. Sherbert hit three 3-points in the win for the Wolfpack (5-1).

Vista Murrieta | Football

The junior quarterback threw for 134 yards and two scores and rushed for 108 yards on 17 carries, including a game-winning 30-yard TD run with 26 seconds left that lifted Vista Murrieta to a 35-28 win over Corona Centennial in the Inland Division title game.

Earl Twyman

Elsinore | Boys basketball

He scored a game-high 37 points for the Tigers on Saturday night in the Nighthawk Classic title game. Still, Elsinore fell to Murrieta Valley, 62-60.

Darion Williams

Vista Murrieta | Football

As usual, the Broncos senior was all over the field Friday in the Inland Division championship victory. He blocked a punt, intercepted a pass and caught a 34-yard touchdown pass in helping the Broncos down Corona Centennial.
