Temescal Canyon  |  Girls golf

The Titans' freshman helped clinch a Sunbelt League championship with a 41 at Canyon Lakes Country Club on Tuesday in a 233-253 win over Elsinore, the two-time defending champ.

Ryan Byrd

Lakeside  |  Football

The Valley's leading rusher padded his stats with a 277-yard day in the Lancers' 36-10 win over Perris. Byrd also scored four times in the victory.

Brett Coenen

Paloma Valley  |  Cross Country

He led the Wildcats to their second Sunbelt League meet victory, navigating the three-mile home course Oct. 17 in 15 minutes and 41.8 seconds. Then, at Mt. SAC, he helped Paloma Valley win its Division I varsity race with a second-place finish in  16:04.

Zach Cope

Linfield Christian  |  Football

He grabbed six receptions for 159 yards and a score as the Lions improved to 2-0 in the Ambassador League with a 31-0 win over Arrowhead Christian on Friday.

Jackie Crowther

Linfield Christian  |  Cross Country

She helped the Lions secure a victory at Tuesday's Ambassador League meet, finishign the course at A.B Brown soccer complex in Riverside in 20 minutes, 23 seconds.

Carolane Gariepy

Vista Murreita  |  Girls golf

The Broncos' junior bested the competition at the Southwestern League finals by five strokes to win her first individual championship. She shot a 6-over-par 150 over the two-day event.

Justin Harris

Chaparral  |  Football

The Pumas' junior running back rushed for a game-high 183 yards on 16 touches, including scoring runs of 4 and 21 yards in a 56-7 win over Murrieta Mesa. It was Chaparral's first win in Southwestern League action.

Terrence Harts

Cornerstone Christian  |  Football

He carried the ball five times for 132 yards and two scores and also threw a touchdown pass as the Crusaders improved to 6-1 with a 34-8 victory over Warner on Saturday. Cornerstone Christian will play at local eight-man rival Cal Lutheran on Saturday at 4 p.m.

Kishawn Holmes

West Valley  |  Football

He rushed for 252 yards and two touchdowns on 13 carries as the Mustangs improved to 2-0 in the Mountain Pass League with a 61-34 win over Tahquitz. The win also gave West Valley the Hemet city championship.

Kiarra McIntosh

Paloma Valley  |  Cross country

She placed first in a girls Division I heat (18:22) as the Wildcats placed fourth as a team.

Jamal Morrow

Heritage  |  Football

The Patriots' junior rushed for 277 yards and two touchdowns in a 28-14 victory over Paloma Valley on Friday. With the win Heritage improved to 2-0 in the Sunbelt League.

Murrieta Valley  |  Boys water polo

He notched a goal and three assists in a 13-8 win over Vista Murrieta on Tuesday and six more scores in a 12-10 win over Chaparral on Thursday as the Nighthawks improved to 5-0 in the Southwestern League.

Malonii Papalii

Murrieta Valley  |  Girls volleyball

She won two of three sets on Thursday against rival Temecula Valley to help the Nighthawks remain unbeaten in Southwestern League play. Earlier that week, she completed a sweep of a suspended match against the Golden Bears in a game Murrieta Valley won on games.

Erika Reddish

Vista Murrieta  |  Cross country

She set a new PR at Mt. SAC over the weekend, placing third in the Division I/II sweepstakes race with a time of 17 minutes, 25 seconds on the three-mile course. Her previous best time was 17:52 last season. Vista Murrieta's girls team placed second at the meet.

Taylor Schade

Elsinore  |  Girls volleyball

She was a force all over the court Wednseday, helping the Tigers to a 3-1 victory over Paloma Valley with 13 kills and three blocks as Elsinore remained unbeaten in Sunbelt League action.
