Key players, scouting report, facts & figures

Army-Navy quarterback Chris Salisbury threw for nearly 1,300 yards last year as a sophomore. Expect Kava Aviu to be a main target this season.

Last year: 10-1

Coach: Patrick Fanene, 1st year

League: Pacific

Division: V

Key players: Tim Mack (RB-DB), Chris Salisbury (QB), Spencer White (OL-DL), Korey Warren (FB-LB), Matthew Ko (TE-LB), John Carter (TE-LB), Daniel Davis (OL-DL), Kava Aviu (WR-DB).

Scouting report: Salisbury, who threw for nearly 1,300 yards as a sophomore last season, is a key to the offense. Mack is a returning two-way starter who rushed for 600 yards last season. White, who plays center, is a key lineman on both sides of the ball. Ko is a three-year starter and one of the team’s leaders. Aviu provides Salisbury with a big target at receiver. He had 300 yards receiving last season and was one of the team’s top tacklers at cornerback. Carter and Davis were both major contributors as freshmen last season. Carter is a versatile performer who should make an impact this season. Davis is a big, strong lineman who should blossom into a fine player. The Warriors will christen multimillion-dollar Maffucci Field at the Duffield Sports Center on Sept. 13 with a 7 p.m. game against La Jolla Country Day.
