Key players, scouting report, facts & figures

Last year: 3-7

Coach: Hans Graham, 4th year

League: Metro Pacific

Division: IV

Key players: Robert Stretch (OL-DL), Raul Banuelos (OL-LB), Roberto Budden (TE-LB), Alessandro Torres (OL-DL), Angel Juarez (OL-DL), Eric King (QB-LB), Jordan Danielson (RB-DB), Adrian Tolbert (WR-DB), Felipe Liborio (WR-DB).

Scouting report: The strength of this team is obvious by just looking at the numbers. Numbers like 6-2, 300 pounds (Stretch), 6-6, 260 (Juarez), 6-0, 220 (Budden). The line will be fine as it builds around Stretch, who is being recruited by San Jose State and Fresno State. King will take over at quarterback. In Tolbert and Liborio, the Trojans have speed. Budden plays tight end and is a nice target as well. The only running back with varsity experience is Danielson, who averaged almost 7 yards a carry while scoring twice — once on a 49-yard scamper. With just seven starters returning, Graham will need some of the younger players to step forward. It’s doubtful that there will be many teams with winning records coming out of Division IV, so if the Trojans can win the games they should win, especially early, they have a chance to make the postseason. The Trojans finished 6-5 three years ago, and with some good breaks and health, it could happen again.
