(5) Westview (16-6-6) vs. (3) La Costa Canyon (16-5-3)

When: Friday, 5 p.m. Where: Mesa College

Outlook: It’s a rematch of last year’s Division II final, won by Westview, as well as the fourth straight title meeting between the schools. Angel Meriwether spearheads the Wolverines, and Pilar Torres paces La Costa Canyon.


(2) Scripps Ranch (20-2-4) vs. (1) Cathedral Catholic (22-2-3)

When: Saturday, 4:30 p.m. Where: Mesa College

Outlook: Cathedral Catholic goes for its third straight section crown with a potent offense sparked by Sunny Dunphy. Twins Holly and Natalie Neshat guide Scripps Ranch, which competes in its first final since 2004.


(4) Granite Hills (12-5-2) vs. (3) Coronado (12-8-6)

When: Saturday, 4:30 p.m. Where: Clairemont High

Outlook: Granite Hills knocked off top-seeded Francis Parker for its first finals appearance since 2007. Coronado makes its third finals appearance in four seasons.


(12) CV High Tech (18-3-5) vs. (2) Helix (8-9-5)

When: Saturday, 11 a.m. Where: Mesa College

Outlook: Chula Vista High Tech has reached its first final with Sierra Sanchez strong in goal. Dominique Banks sparks Helix, which has hit its postseason stride after going 2-8 in the Grossmont Hills League.


(1) Serra (16-7-1) vs. (3) SD High Tech (14-9)

When: Saturday, 11 a.m. Where: Clairemont High

Outlook: Serra steamrolled its way to the finals, netting nine goals to just one allowed. San Diego High Tech blanked its two postseason opponents.


(2) Preuss (9-5-1) vs. (4) Del Lago (15-6-0)

When: Friday, 5 p.m. Where: Clairemont High

Outlook: Escondido’s Del Lago squeezed past Crawford 1-0 in the semifinals. Preuss eased its way to the finals, scoring five total goals and collecting two clean sheets.
