Player to watch: QB Marco Cobian is a three-year starter who has earned all-league honors each of the past two seasons. He passed for 1,737 yards and 22 TDs with just four INTs last year. A pro style QB, Cobian is being evaluated by schools from all levels. That includes the Ivy League and SDSU.

At a glance: RBs EJ Schmidt, Sean Stemm, Austin Pierce and Caleb Berman will compete for carries. The receiving corps is young but as talented as Baldwin has seen with the return of Noah White and emergence of Hunter Gurrola and Tristan Stacy. White is attracting attention from recruiters. So are LB Grady Vazquez and TE-FS Keyno Crichlow, a returning all-leaguer. The defensive line needs to be rebuilt. All-league DT Marcus Bradley returns, and that’s a good start.
