South notes: Coached by Bonita Vista’s Chris Thompson, the South features 12 players who garnered All-CIF San Diego Section honors — Ethan Williams (Bonita Vista), Takoda Browne (Kearny), Caleb Johnson (Point Loma), Nathan Sweat (Eastlake), Greg Bell (Bonita Vista), Atoa Fox (Bonita Vista), Nick Sexton (Christian), Forrest Hanlon (Helix), Jacob Kitten (Santana), David Falo (Madison), Jacob Burton (Granite Hills) and Moli Faalogo (Bonita Vista). Bell, who is headed to San Diego State, rushed for 2,632 yards and 23 TDs. Browne had 2,287 total yards. Adrian Petty (Christian) had 1,698 total yards. QB David Jeremiah (Christian), threw for 2,750 yards and 26 TDs with Sexton catching 68 balls for 1,389 yards.
North notes: Coached by San Marcos’ Jason Texler, the North has seven All-CIF players — Niko Mageo (Oceanside), Mitchell Lindgren (Rancho Bernardo), Nehemiah McFarlin (Mission Hills), Devin Dunn (Rancho Bernardo), Nick Zimmerman (Oceanside), Michael Liuchan (Mission Hills) and Zach Thomas (Carlsbad), who is committed to San Diego State. The QBs are Shea Morales (Carlsbad), who threw for 1,890 yards, and Marco Cobian (Ramona), who threw for 1,807. McFarlin rushed for more than 2,000 yards and 30 TDs. WR DeVaughn Vele (Rancho Bernardo) caught 58 passes for 980 yards.
